jarring!

I'm sure someone, somewhere, has thought of this already
BUT
I thought it up for the first time last week and wanted to share...

With our new summer schedule, we've been incorporating "meal helpers"
I've made the kids a parfait-style breakfast in some champagne flutes in the past but didn't want to risk that this time with Ava as my breakfast helper.

So...

out came three of my wide-mouthed glass canning jars!

I had Ava layer them with fresh strawberries and blueberries, raw sunflower seeds, plain goat's milk yogurt, and a little bit of raw honey. She had so much fun spooning the ingredients in and it looked so pretty!

After I served them to the kids, I had another inspiration...
I could make up any sort of layered breakfast or snack, screw the lids on, and keep them in the refrigerator till they were needed!

I haven't thought through what ingredients would work best, and how to avoid the sog-factor, but I'm sure I could make it work...

that IS a good idea! I haven't done that "style" of breakfast for a while... we used to do those with granola and coconut milk almost every morning when I was preggo with the girls. :)

miss you SOOOOOOOOOO MUCH!
