I had an old 1950's stove/oven that belonged to my great aunt before. It had a cool, retro vibe, but it took about 15 min. for a pot of water to boil! I really enjoy my new flat-top convection range...makes cooking dinner a whole new experience!
I designed the kitchen around my grandmother's collection of original Fiestaware. The pitcher and round saltshakers are among my favorite pieces.

beautiful!!!
I want to come and live in your kitchen!! I so wish we could do more of a renovation like you did. Unfortunately we need an addition on this house and that is where we are saving for. So, I'm not sure on the painting of the cabinets because I am trying to convince hubby that we can get some cheaper pre-builts that would be great. I am going to replace the light fixtures, want a new stove and sink. I am working on hubby for those things. What I really want is a farm stand sink but they cost $900 or more. I really like yours though. I want one big sink instead of the split which is totally unfunctional. We did our floors a couple of years ago and did windows so maybe painting the trim white around the windows would be great also. Thank you so much for posting before and after shots. I love seeing what others do with their houses. You probably have a really neat house being that it is 150 years old. The curved archway is gorgeous! I really like your colors also but I don't think it will work with my decor and the rest of my house. We will see what we end up with. I have about 30 color swatches to dig through tomorrow. :)
I really like your new kitchen - especially the fiestaware.
Whoa! I had never seen the "before" pictures. But I have certainly enjoyed eating chocolate cake and getting my hair cut in your fabulous "after" kitchen!
